Optimum Air was established in Auckland, New Zealand in 2018. Since opening the company has seen extraordinary growth and is now looking to extend its coverage to include the Wellington region. With this expansion, Optimum Air is seeking a trade qualified Refrigeration technician with appropriate licences to maintain and manage commercial properties in the Wellington area.
Your duties will involve the maintaining of various HVAC plant & equipment at various locations for our Customers.
Essential to this role is a good mechanical understanding and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Suitable applicants need to have experience in the service, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of refrigeration equipment.
The right candidate must possess the following;
A strong knowledge of building mechanical services
Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
Demonstrate fault finding abilities and present solutions
Reliable, self-motivated and well presented
Clear verbal and written communication; word processing and spreadsheet applications
Able to liaise with clients on the condition of their plant
Willing to undergo a police check
Available to work some overtime
Strong commitment to safe work practices is essential
The successful applicant will need at least a NZQA L4 trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, a current EST, well-developed communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised to a high standard is essential.
